Freestyle - Western

A celebration of Western bodywork traditions, this category invites therapists to combine techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, remedial massage, and other therapeutic approaches. Competitors are encouraged to showcase their creativity by blending skills into a unique and personalized massage experience. Tools allowed: hot stones, bamboo sticks, reflexology tools, cupping, acupuncture tools, singing bowls, and similar supportive aids.

Swedish / Deep Tissue Massage

Ideal for those who primarily use movements from Classic Swedish or Deep Tissue massage techniques. Both techniques can be combined, with classic stretching allowed. No advanced movements. Limited use of tools are allowed in this category.

Spa / Wellness Massage

Utilize classical Swedish, beauty, and spa-style massage techniques to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. No advanced massage techniques are allowed in this category. Tools allowed

Facial Massage

Duration: 45 minutes to 1 hour Focus on providing facial massage using various techniques and products. This category allows the use of tools and products to enhance the facial massage experience.

Freestyle - Eastern

Rooted in Eastern healing traditions, this category focuses on medical and holistic systems such as Traditional Thai Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Shiatsu, Ayurveda, Indonesian and Polynesian techniques. Therapists are invited to highlight the artistry, flow, and philosophy of these practices. Tools allowed: singing bowls, scarves, bamboo sticks, stones, and other culturally appropriate tools that enhance the treatment journey.

Chair Massage

Duration: 40 minutes Perform a massage on an industry-standard professional massage chair with the model fully clothed. Get creative with your technique in this category. Participants must supply their own chair, but chairs can be requested during registration

Massage with Tools

In this category, 40% or more of the treatment must be performed using massage tools. Participants can incorporate a variety of approved tools, such as hot stones, bamboo sticks, gua sha, massage guns, or suction cups, singing bowls etc, to enhance their technique and deliver a unique therapeutic experience.
